The Painter's Table

The Painter's Table is the closest thing I've made to a self-portrait. It's my actual studio table, cluttered with brushes gone soft with use, linen waiting to be stretched, and a jar of lupines that wouldn't stop wilting fast enough for me to finish them properly. I liked that imperfection — it felt more honest than painting flowers that behaved.
